An old time classic Italian sub packed with meat, cheese, veggies, and flavor in every bite.
1. Place red onion in a small bowl with water.
2. Cut each baguette in half, then slice each piece lengthwise, not cutting quite all the way through to the other edge.
3. Drizzle olive oil and half of the red wine vinegar to the insides of each roll. Sprinkle with kosher salt and black pepper. Splitting equally between the 4 rolls, layer ingredients in the above order onto each.
4. Top with chopped romaine, sprinkle with oregano and additional salt and pepper, and finish each with remaining red wine vinegar.
