Pull Apart Brown Sugar Muffins
Pull apart brown sugar muffins, filled with brown sugar, cinnamon, and a doughy center. Jumbo in size and finished off with a glaze drizzle.
Ingredients

Muffins
- 3 ¼ cups flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
- ½ tsp salt
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup water
- ¼ cup butter, cubed
- 1 egg
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 4 tbsp butter, melted, plus additional for coating
Icing
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 4 tsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine 1 1/2 to 2 cups of the flour, the sugar, yeast, and salt in a stand mixer and whisk to combine.
- Next, combine milk, water, and butter in a bowl and microwave until warm but not too hot in order to be able to activate the yeast.
- Add the butter mixture to the flour mixture and mix to combine using the dough hook attachment.
- Add the egg and then gradually add the remaining flour, beating until combined.
- Once combined flour your work surface and form dough into a ball and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Cut dough into 30 nuggets and combine cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl. Coat each nugget in melted butter and then roll each in the cinnamon brown sugar mixture.
- Place nuggets in greased jumbo muffin tray. Place 5 nuggets in each, making 6 muffins in total.
- Let dough rise in muffin tray for 1 hour and preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Once done rising, bake for approximately 15-20 minutes. While muffins are baking combine powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract together in a small bowl.
- Once muffins are done baking, let cool and then drizzle icing on top and enjoy.
