As Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, fall is slowly slipping away. As we previously mentioned, we intend to sneak every last fall recipe in that we can- and that includes the perfect Thanksgiving cocktail (that can also be easily transformed into a mocktail).
This Iced Bourbon Apple Cider is the cocktail that I didn't know I needed, but will now be making every year for the holidays. It has all the fall flavors that we know and love- apple, cinnamon, a splash of OJ even, but yet it's iced so it's still super refreshing. In this cocktail we use bourbon which in my opinion, pairs perfectly with our fall flavors but isn't too over powering where they get lost. I just made this cocktail for some friends and I have to say it was a major hit.
We've always loved apple cider but something about adding some ice to it makes it taste extra delicious. This cocktail is super simple but will surprise you with just how good it is. Coming from me this says a lot as when it comes to cocktails I can be picky at times. It can sometimes feel like they're either too sweet, too strong, or just missing that just right flavor.
Of course, at the base of this cocktail is what else other than apple cider! Then you have...
The cinnamon simply syrup is a game changer. So easy to make and it really adds that extra delicious touch.
Delicious and easy- our two favorite things to hear when we need a quick new recipe idea for the holidays. After making the delicious cinnamon simple syrup, this cocktail only has a few more steps!
It really is as easy as shaking everything up, pouring it in your favorite, fall cocktail glasses and you're good to go! Feel free to go ahead and make it large batch for a Friendsgiving or for Thanksgiving day with friends and family. Top with some orange slices or if you're feeling bold like I was, a couple cinnamon sticks, and start sipping!
